Combat Arthritis Using Yoga

Many people who suffer from arthritis try to move as little as possible because they don’t want to experience the pain and they think that resting will help them. Actually, this can only hurt them more as exercise is one of the best things to help.

Of course, you will not want to overdo it with your exercise, because pushing too far and causing too much strain will be a very bad thing.

Rather, you can do some of the light stretches which are designed to improve mobility in your joints. The slow motion of yoga and the light pressure that it uses is designed to reach far into your joints and this can help ease the pain you feel there.

Doing light yoga a few times a day for 5 minutes at a time could be all that you need in order to help ease arthritis pain. It can open the flexibility your joints have and make moving around much easier than you are used to.
